April update

Well we had a wonderful Easter! We got to spend some time with Courtney, Dale, and Mia. Noah and I dyed Easter eggs, and had so much fun doing it.
I found out that I have gestational diabetes, and have been put on a meal plan to try and regulate my blood sugars. Hopefully this works and I won't have to be put on insulin. Preslee has been very active lately, I just can't wait to see her...only 12 and 1/2 weeks to go! Can you believe how time flies?!
Joseph's dad was working last week and had a piece of glass fall on his arm and cut it very badly. He had to have surgery and is at home going insane with nothing to do but try to recover smoothly from this. As most of you know he builds homes and makes beautiful cabinetry, so this is very hard for him to be stuck at home with nothing to do.
To make a bad week better I went to Courtney's and spent the weekend with them. I had a National Dyslexia Conference there. I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with Courtney and Mia. I didn't get to see Dale very much, but hopefully after school gets out and before Preslee gets here I will get to go spend some more time with them. It was so fun getting to see Mia crawling! Man she is getting so big!

It's a Girl!

Yes, It is a GIRL, Preslee Sherree' Pollan. We are so excited to welcome a beautiful baby girl into our family in July. As Joseph calls her his "Honey Tiny." I was real nervous about how Joseph would take the news that he was having a daughter but he is so excited and talks to her every night and tells her about how much fun fishing they are going to have together. Noah said that he really "didn't want a girl but it is okay and that he will play with her anyways, except she will be too little at first." =) I think by going over to see Brylee it has helped him. We went 2 weekends ago and he was so interested in her. I got in the bed rails to the crib but still no crib or changing table or dresser, I believe it is all going to be here in May. I am just ready to start getting things organized and ready. She is already getting a full closet =)
My Spring Break was awesome, I didn't do anything and only came to Wichita one day and slept in all the rest of the week. I got my hair chopped off and went to dinner with all my girlfriends one day, it was great getting to see the girls! My grandmother came to see me in Terral Saturday and we went over to Bill's Catfish to eat. I really didn't want to come back to work yesterday but hey, only 43 more days of school I think.
I get to go see my baby Mia this weekend, and I am really excited to see her again. Well that is about all for now.

I would have to say that this week has been a great week for the most part! It all started when I got to see my baby Mia (and my sister =)) on Sunday, then Monday Marlaina had her beautiful baby girl, I found out that my glucola and my quad testing done all looked great for the baby, and then to top it all off my mom ordered the all the baby furniture! I am so excited! We find out in 14 days and 2 hours the gender of our baby!

We do need you to keep my Joseph's aunt in all of your prayers. She had some complications with a surgery and is in critical condition in Wichita Falls. Please pray for her and her husband to make it through all of this!

Here is a picture of Marlaina's beautiful baby girl, Brylee Dawn!

Dr Appointment

I had a doctor appointment this past Friday. Everything looked great! We will find out the gender for sure (baby cooperating that is) on March 6th! Yay! My bestfriend Marlaina is going to have a beautiful baby girl any day now, so I will be posting pictures of her soon! I will keep you all posted!

Doctor Appointment

I had a sonogram on Friday and we saw the wonderful three white lines that point to a girl. The sono tech said "well there are no boy parts yet." We (or I actually) are hoping that this stays like this and will have a baby girl in 26 more weeks! The baby measured great on everything....her legs though measured short (just by 2 days), but what can we say is anyone suprised by that information! =D I went to the doctor today and found out I have another ear infection...yuck! But then I went to my baby doctor again and got to hear a great heart beat of 153 and was told everything looked fine so far. The placenta is a little low but they will just monitor that, Courtney told me hers was with Mia so I am not too concerned since Mia turned out beautiful. I have to go in 2 weeks to have my diabetes testing done (YUCK!) and will see the doctor then also. We will have another sonogram in 4 weeks and will find out for sure (if the baby cooperates) what gender the baby is.

Back to Work I Go....

Well I came back to work this week, and man was it a busy week! We had a great Christmas! Noah made out like a bandit and we got the video camera we've (or as Joseph says I've) been wanting.
I recently got a fetal doppler so we could listen to the baby's heartbeat. I found the heartbeat one day after Christmas, but could not find it again until this Wednesday. It was so awesome! We got to hear it moving around and the heartbeat. I will officially be out of my first trimester on Sunday and will feel TONS better after my sonogram and doctor appointment January 16th! Joseph and I have decided to start looking at different girl names and I am just glad that the baby naming is not left solely to him! He had some crazy names picked out! Our leading girl name is Addison Sherree'~ and only boy name Fisher Lee.
Last weekend I got to go spend a wonderful weekend with my baby, Mia. She is getting so big I can't believe it! She just loved spending time with her "fun Aunt Whitney."

Cold Cold Cold

As my grandmother said to us last night, I have news for everyone.... IT'S COLD! I wish I was in my warm bed curled up with a good book today, but no such luck. I had to drive to work today, on the icy roads praying the whole time. Just praying that some sunlight comes out today.
